Scramble
by S. T. Han

Requires: Windows 3.1, 4MB RAM, VGA graphics

scramble 1) to scuffle or struggle for something 2) to mix haphazardly 3) to stir and cook (slightly beaten eggs)

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction..."

Newton may have been talking about forces of physics, but the statement applies equally well to Scramble, the latest puzzle from S. T. Han. Four strips of five squares intersect to form a number sign "#". A sphere is drawn atop the strips, and then the strips are scrambled. All you have to do is put the sphere back together again.

You do this by moving the strips left, right, up or down. The trick is to take into account Newton's Law--because when you move one strip, the other moves in the opposite direction. So if you move the upper strip right, the lower strip moves left!

Keep at it and eventually you'll solve it. You can save the puzzle state when you need to do things like eat, go to the bathroom or sleep. If you ever solve the Easy level, you can try to solve the Medium or Difficult puzzles. And if you really can't solve it at all, you can let the computer try to find the path to success.

Scramble; if you ever solve it, you'll have a ball!
