Multi-Clip Internet Manager (MCIM) is a powerful enhancement tool for Windows 95 with web surfing in mind. MCIM allows you to manage commonly used text strings (or even full text documents) and graphical images that are copied onto the Windows clipboard. MCIM has Internet download capability and using the tools provided by MCIM you can download full web pages and even entire web sites. MCIM can also encrypt your documents for secure transmission across networks such as the Internet. Check out the features list below:
Clipboard Enhancement Features
- Vastly enhances your windows clipboard, allowing you to store many images and text clippings/documents in an easy accessible list.
- Text clippings can be viewed in a scrollable window, and edited using the built in text editor.
- Text clippings can be searched and/or removed upon the occurrence of a specific word or phrase.
- MCIM can remove all matching text clippings. No use having the same text clippings more than once.
- MCIM can strip carriage returns for you and add each line of text as a separate text clipping to the clip list.
- You can command MCIM to combine all your text clippings into one and allow you to edit them.
Internet Features
- MCIM can retrieve files from web sites (http), ftp archives and gopher sites, all within the same document.
- MCIM can resume a download on almost any http site.
- MCIM can retrieve complete web pages from the Internet and re-index the links for you to view and edit on your local hard drive.
Editor Features
- Normal text editing facilities.
- Saves and loads encrypted files. MCIM encrypts with a password that can be of any length.
- Upper/Lower case facility for converting documents or sections of documents to/from upper case to lower case.
- Allows creation of new text clips or editing of existing clips.
- MCIM can remove all text from a web page loaded into the text editor, and leave only web links and email addresses behind. This is very useful for creating lists of links to be downloaded from the Internet. MCIM will also append a site name to any local links.
- MCIM can strip all HTML tags from an HTML file loaded into the editor, leaving only the plain text behind; this feature is effectively an HTML to text converter.
- Easily accessible buttons for common functions.
General Features
- MCIM sits on the task bar in the form of an icon, where all menus are accessible by clicking on the right mouse button over this icon.
- MCIM can be completely hidden from view while you work and brought back up by simply double-clicking on the MCIM icon on the taskbar.
- You can add clips to MCIM from any other package by using a re-definable hotkey, allowing you to store clips without using MCIM's interface.
- MCIM comes with a complete help file, tool tips and tip of the day to make your using MCIM even easier.
