We've given you 6 Christmas card templates as a start, but you're not limited to these six - let your creative juices run wild and make your own with the bitmaps, animations and sounds we've given you!

How to use our cards...

The most important thing to remember is to press F1 anytime you need help when running SD Card Creator! That said...

Run SD Card Creator, then go to the File menu and select the Open option. You will see the current directory structure - in the list of folders is a CHRSTMAS directory. Select that and you should see six new folders: CABIN, CAROLERS, ORNAMENT, POE_TREE, SANTA, and XMASTREE. Select one and then the .SSP that is displayed and follow the instructions below.

CABIN

This card shows a cabin nestled in the snow on a country lane, cheerily bright and inviting. "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" plays in the background.

After loading the project, double-click on the picture labeled Segment 1, then on the Segment Dialog that appears, click on the Text button and enter your message.

CAROLERS

This card shows four carolers, bundled up against the swirling snow, standing under an antique gas lamp and singing their hearts out to "Deck the Halls"!

After loading the project, double-click on the picture labeled Segment 1, then on the Segment Dialog that appears, click on the Text button and enter your message.

ORNAMENT

This card shows three ornaments. What's that? Santa passes through the snowman ornament!

After loading the project, double-click on the picture labeled Segment 3, then on the Segment Dialog that appears, click on the Text button and enter your message.

POE_TREE

This card shows a minimalist Christmas tree outdoors above a "Peace on Earth" banner; snow falls and "God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen" adds a classic touch.

After loading the project, double-click on the picture labeled Segment 1, then on the Segment Dialog that appears, click on the Text button and enter your message.

SANTA

This card shows a Santa sitting at his desk and checking his list twice, while a busy elf moves Christmas gifts around.

After loading the project, you'll see that there are two labeled segments. Double-click on segment 1 and edit the text. Go back to the main screen and double-click on segment 2. If you want the text to be the same, you can click on the "Default Clear" button; otherwise enter your new text as usual.

XMASTREE

This card shows a Victorian style Christmas tree full of doves and twinkling lights. "What Child is This?" plays in the background.

After loading the project, double-click on the picture labeled Segment 1, then on the Segment Dialog that appears, click on the Text button and enter your message.

Some general rules...

General rules on entering text: Just type in whatever message you want. Press only when you want to add a new line to the text - don't let the lines get too long! Click on the OK button when the text is finished. You'll see your text appear on the screen - is it correct? If not, click on the text button and edit it.

You can also change the font style, color and size by clicking on the "Font" button under the text editing box.

When the text looks right, click on the OK button on the segment dialog. There may be a warning that comes up about repeating forever - that's what you want it to do so click Okay. This gets you back to get back to the main screen.

Now you need to make your card. Either go to the File menu and select Build, or click on the 3rd icon from the right on the tool bar. You can just click OK on the build dialog and you've personalized the card! (The next dialog that comes up will make the final card smaller, but you can just click No since the cards are fairly small to begin with.) Give the .EXE file to your loved ones and tell them to run it.

You can mix and match bits and pieces to your heart's content...these are just convenient templates for you to use.
