The Vehicle Record System consists of several integrated program modules designed to track expenses for all of your vehicles. Costs can be easily determined and analyzed for any period of time. You can track vehicles by odometers or hour meters using either English or Metric measurements.
The Vehicle Record System will also tell you when to service your vehicles by showing you what maintenance services need to be done, when they need to be done and which services are overdue. You can customize each vehicle's service schedule to the level of detail you require. And, the service history log shows all the services that have been completed. Fleet operations include modules for vendors, drivers, reports and more. These modules contain information that can be shared by all vehicles. While each vehicle has its own set of Ownership and Operating logs, you do not have to use all of the logs for a vehicle. Ownership costs are costs that are incurred even if you do not operate the vehicle. Operating costs are directly related to the vehicle's mileage or hours. We have included an example vehicle with some sample data to help you get started. After you have added your own vehicles, you can delete the example vehicle if you wish. We recommend that you print the "Getting Started" topic in the online help and refer to it in customizing the system to your needs. It will also give you an overview of all the modules and vehicle logs. Also, be sure to read the "System Setup" topic in the online help on setting the correct date format in Vehicle Record System to match your computer.
