Always clean and service brakes before each season. Check for excessive pedal travel, worn brake pads and other potential problems that might be obvious for a visual inspection. Brake linkage should move freely and snap back to rear position. Brake disc surface should be free of pits, deep groves, dirt and corrosion, oil and grease.
